Uninterrupted access over a private, controlled and reliable network were key decision criteria cited by CERN for renewing its agreement with Reliance Globalcom. The Ethernet over MPLS solution with complete end-to-end connectivity, allows CERN’s Indian data centre partner, TIFR, near-instant access to the vast volumes of data generated by CERN’s particle experiments program in Geneva, Switzerland, in addition to offering maximum flexibility to accommodate their sporadic traffic spikes, going up to as high as 1 Gigabit.

Under the new agreement Reliance Globalcom provides secure connectivity over an MPLS backbone that brings in enhanced prioritisation capabilities enabling CERN to use the full port speed with stringent service level agreements.
